These notes, entitled “International Macroeconomics” by Schmitt-Grohé, Uribe, Woodford, (Columbia University) are the main resource for the course. The lectures will follow closely those notes.

What you need to do:
– BEFORE the Synchronous lecture you should:
- Watch ALL the videos carefully related to that week (see the table below)
- Read the Reading related to that week (see the table below)
- Ask, vote, and answer questions using the PIAZZA forum
– DURING the Synchronous lecture you should:
- Be present
- Use the chat to ask questions and makes comment
- Have the Socrative App installed on your phone and be ready to use it

PIAZZA is the forum platform that we be using this year. How to use it?
Before the synchronous lecture, please post question sin the corresponding folder for that week (example: before week 1, post questions in the folder “week_1_global_imbalances”. You can post questions related to that week material or that week extra reading. You can also vote for other students questions (using the option “good question”) and you can also answer other questions, if you believe you know the answer.
Right before the synchronous lecture, I will go though the most voted questions. All the other questions posted in the folders week_1, week_2, etc… will not be answered by instructors, but those folders will remain as a place for interaction between students.
Before the Term 1 test and the final Exam, students can post questions in the folders Test_1 and Exam_Term1: those questions will be answered by instructors.
